We are looking for experienced business analytical professionals to join our Group Digital team working on regional analytical projects across all business formats such as Food, Health & Beauty, Convenience store and home furniture in DFI group for Asia markets.
The person in this role will be working on BI solutions, data management and analytics processes within Centre of Excellence team in group digital to drive group’s digital business.
The role would support projects across data acquisition, exploratory analysis, Insight/ Analysis creation and presenting key findings to project team, stakeholders, and management team.
Candidates will work across Data / Statistical tools, problem formulation, insight / model development and visualization / BI tools / Automation. Passion for understanding the why is key for successful applicants.

The challenge is to:
Understand business needs across all business format and region to ensures there is integration between business and data analytics.
Work closely with the Digital Business Partner and COE team to gather all the requirements and document it thoroughly.
Ability to understand business needs quickly and provide solutions with close collaboration with data engineering team and technology team.
Create report templates and leverage data gathering tools to meet desired future standard.
Experience with SQL with data acquisition and exploratory data analysis. Must have attention to detail as well as a sense for understanding complex datasets needed for analysis.
Focus on continuous learning and development across Methods, Tools and external research platform to address analytical problems.
Manage current project deliverables, communicate roadblocks and find solutions to move projects forward.
Update the stakeholders with updated requirements, find out insights and key data sources required for the projects and act as a bridge between the developer team and stakeholders for smoother delivery of work.
Document and formulate project documents, to ensure effective communication in partnership with digital academy colleagues.
Leverage data, statistical and visualization tools for building the project deliverables including visualization dashboard with key dimension / metrics.
Create analysis deck with key insights and actionable insights relevant to stakeholders.
Conduct advanced analytics results including correlation, predictive and AB testing results
Optimize datasets for operationalizing analytical findings with stakeholder groups.
Do you have experience in Business Insights?
Bachelor’s degree in Math / Statistics / Engineering / Computer science, and other quantitative fields
5+ years of total experience in data and analysis in corporate and consulting settings.
Experienced with analytical problem formulation and analytics / insight development
Experienced with data tools (SQL, Power BI, GCP Big Query, Tableau etc.).
Experienced in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint tools, Statistical tools (SAS / R / Python / Stata).
Exposure to visualization tools like Tableau / Domo / QlikView / Power BI / Looker
Asia with multiple market (e.g., SEA) and ecommerce work experience will be a plus.
Fluency in local language and English is a mandatory requirement with good communication.
Technical Skills & Competencies
Deep skills with managing data from multiple platforms, identifying anomalies, integrating datasets. Core SQL skills necessary to pull data from internal data lake, External and ad-hoc datasets.
Analytical mindset driven to understand the data and building actionable insights.
Practical experience in data modelling is required.
Experience with the analytical tool kit across Data (SQL / Alteryx), Statistical (SAS / R / Python / Stata), Visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
Commitment to continuous learning including new analytical methods, tools, and problems with can-do attitudes.
Excellent business analysis skills and experience in modelling business processes.
Experience with Apache tools, specifically Apache Beam, Apache Airflow, and Apache Hive, will be viewed as an advantage.
