  • You have experience of working in a strategic communication, media and marketing management role in a customer-centric business, preferably from Retail and/ or Home Furnishing Business
  • You have experience of creating and implementing fact-based strategic plans, setting budgets, following up goals, and managing the P&L
  • You have proven ability to work with creative advertising/communication processes/agencies
  • Experience in effective and efficient use and measurement of all media (paid, owned, and earned)
  • You can communicate confidently and clearly in Cantonese, Mandarin and English

  • You have proven experience in managing and developing people
  • You have the ability to influence a management team and a matrix organisation, making a difference in positively affecting the company result
  • You have knowledge of the effective use of digital media

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • Identify and drive the visitation and positioning opportunities in brand position and competitive position, as well as life at home and home furnishing interest
  • Engage the management team, stores, and colleagues in seeking new business opportunities through fact-based consumer/customer insights (i.e. business plan processes).
  • Develop the market marketing plan and lead its implementation by setting and achieving the positioning and visitation goals within existing business and financial frames
  • Be in charge of the overall marketing communication in order to touch the many people’s hearts and minds. This shall occur by securing: inspiration and creativity in all our marketing communication solutions, alignment with the IKEA Concept and IKEA Brand guidelines, efficient and effective use of media, and loyalty program
  • Be in control of the marketing budget, measuring all marketing metrics, identifying cost efficiencies, and monitoring and following up on all marketing investments
  • Lead and manage the marketing team by ensuring the necessary resources, processes, and ways of working, and managing and developing people (competence and succession)
  • Closely work with team leaders in various internal team on market/store level, such as representatives of Public Relations, Commercial Team, Research Team, and Commercial Activity Team, etc.
  • Demonstrate leadership by example in ways that express the IKEA values within and outside IKEA operations
  • Work on other tasks and projects as assigned that will contribute to the development of IKEA retail operations (i.e., global, country, or local initiatives).

 

TOGETHER AS A TEAM

Be a strong contributor to the leadership team, lead the marketing team, develop marketing strategies, and ensure they are executed in the most effective and efficient way, in order to fulfil the purpose of the marketing function. The IKEA market marketing team covers areas such as market intelligence, marketing communication, media planning and buying, DFI yuu program, social media and website/app management.
