The challenge is to:

You will be responsible for overseeing talent management strategies and implementing effective organizational design practices and capability building initiatives at DFI. Working closely with senior business leaders and stakeholders, you will develop and execute initiatives that optimize our organizational structures, enhance talent capabilities, and align with our strategic goals. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping DFI’s efficiency, effectiveness, and adaptability to changing business needs.

  • A member of the People and Culture Leadership Team; reporting line to the Chief People and Culture Officer with responsibilities including Talent Management Strategy, Organizational Design and Development, Capability Building, Performance Management, and Succession Planning
  • Responsible for setting the Company’s strategic direction for Talent Management and Organizational Design, and to ensure the full integration of various People & Culture practices from full team member life cycle’s point of view
  • Develops and executes a comprehensive talent management strategy supported by capability building aligned with our business objectives; ensures our initiatives supports DFI’s long-term / sustainable growth and talent needs
  • Collaborates with senior business leaders and stakeholders to develop and execute initiatives that optimize our organizational structures, and processes
  • Sets up robust talent identification, talent development programs and succession planning initiatives across the business
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition COE to drive robust workforce planning programs 
  • Works with Regional / Banner People & Culture Directors, and business stakeholders to improve capabilities across the region
  • Benchmark DFI’s talent management, L&D, and organizational design approaches against other industry players and global best practices
  • Partners with the Jardine Matheson Group People and Culture team to leverage talent management programs, particularly with in the talent review / performance management and leadership development space
  • Establishes industry networks across functional areas of responsibility
  • Responsibility for overall budget and resource allocation for all initiatives and programs

 

Do you have experience in Talent Management and Organization Development?

  • A minimum of 15 years progressive and proven experience in organizational design, talent management, and capability building roles, preferably in a complex and dynamic business environment; retail / with large frontline workforce would be ideal
  • Strong understanding of organizational development principles, change management methodologies, and talent management practices 
  • Experience leading organization-wide initiatives and driving change across a large, complex business
  • Ability to build organizational capabilities through people, hold people accountable and motivate and inspire others
  • Hands-on working approach, excellent communication / presentation skills along with sound commercial awareness are the keys to success in this role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in talent management related people systems 
  • University degree holder in HR, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an advantage
