Subject matter expert for all product and supplier related ethical and sustainability queries - both internal and external.
Management of ethical and sustainability programmes within DFI – including driving improvements and collating reporting compliance data and scorecard.
Provide expertise and guidance on Ethical and Sustainability to Communication and Consumer Affairs, Marketing, Sourcing, Technical, Commercial teams, and suppliers.
Proactively provides coaching to internal stakeholders.
Engagement with key internal stakeholders to understand customer expectations, commercial challenges/opportunities, and reputational risk.
Thorough research and engagement with external experts to understand the science behind sustainability challenges and initiatives.
Horizon scanning for emerging risks for sustainability.
Do you have experience in Sustainability?
University Degree in - Business with Sustainability Focus / Sustainability / Sustainable Management or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
Qualified auditor status would be an advantage
Extensive experience in ethical auditing as a qualified ethical auditor.
With hands-on knowledge in sustainable sourcing, environmental and circular economy principles in relation to product supply chains with experience in Western markets and local markets such as ASEAN and China will be preferred.
Minimum of 3 years' experience with ethical auditing and compliance in a buying office is desirable.
Familiarity with social compliance and environmental standards (BSCI, SMETA, FSC, PEFC, RSPO etc.).
Demonstrated ability to work independently, communicate effectively, work under pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Excellent organizational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with flexibility and adaptability – must demonstrate project management and analytical skills.
Problem solving, decision making, and negotiating skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player, able to work in a cross-cultural environment.
Good command of both written & spoken English.
Proficient in MS Office including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
